Hydrogen Generators

We specialize in designing and manufacturing fully-automatic plants that generate hydrogen gas for different purposes. We are focused on offering our customers the best industrial hydrogen generators with durability and productivity. Our hydrogen gas generators and industrial hydrogen generators are easy to operate and are maintenance free as well.

Hydrogen is obtained using two different procedures given herein:
  • Water electrolysis process
  • Ammonia cracking process

Water Electrolysis Process
In electrolyzer, symmetrical conductive structure with anode in the middle and cathode at ends avoid the shortage of voltage. The improved sealing washer isolates hydrogen from oxygen used for many purposes. In this way, the separator, synthesizer, filter, cooler, cycling pump, tubes and valves are mounted on a skid for easy installation and transportation for smooth process.

This technique generates hydrogen gas through electrolysis (bipolar type) along with gas boosters and de-oxo units. When water is charged with electrical current, the electrolysis dissociates the elements of water (oxygen and hydrogen). In this connection, the amount of power consumed by these plants is 4.5 KW (per cubic meter of hydrogen).

Finally, the hydrogen obtained is collected in a hydrogen gas holder. It is kept for further use for processing. Though hydrogen obtained through electrolysis is 99.8% pure, yet the use of de-oxo units helps in purifying it further (up to 99.999%). This method is used by different industrial plants.

Ammonia Cracking Process
Ammonia crackers produce cracked ammonia(NH3) gas with the use of using anhydrous ammonia from cylinders. Cracked ammonia contains 75% hydrogen and 25% nitrogen and the product gas is very dry & oxygen free used for different industrial purposes.

In heat treatment furnaces, this gas has various use as reducing atmosphere. Wherever pure hydrogen is needed, cracked ammonia gas is named because it is very cost-effective substitute. The dissociation of ammonia gas takes place in the presence of a nickel catalyst at temperature of 850 degree C. to 900 degree C. in an electrically heated or fuel fired automatic furnace. When this happens, ammonia dissociates into nitrogen and hydrogen.

PSA molecular sieves are also used to ensure the production of pure hydrogen. The purity of hydrogen produced is 99.9%. Many industrial organizations prefer our plants because the cost of hydrogen that is generated in our plants is very nominal.

We design and supply complete hydrogen gas generators with cylinder filling facility that fulfill the requirements of varied industries.

Application of Hydrogen Gas:

  • Petroleum and chemical industries.
  • Used as a shielding gas in welding methods such as atomic hydrogen welding.
  • Liquid H2 is used in cryogenic research, including superconductivity studies.
  • It is used pure or mixed with nitrogen gas (sometimes called forming gas) as a tracer gas for minute leak detection. One can be find in the automotive, chemical, power generation, aerospace & telecommunications industries.
  • Hydrogen being an authorized food additive that allows food package leak testing among other anti-oxidizing properties.
